Special Educational Needs and Disability (SEND)
All children learn at a different pace and in different ways. For some children, SEND can be identified at an early age. However, for other children difficulties become evident only as they develop. A child or young person has SEND if they have a learning difficulty or disability which calls for special educational provision to be made for them.
We ensure we identify emerging difficulties promptly and respond early, considering the views of parents/carers and the children themselves.
Intervention will include our Special Educational Needs Co-ordinator (SENDCo) working with the class teacher to provide detailed assessment and support. We also work in partnership with a range of specialist teachers and agencies to support the development of children requiring additional help.
Our Special Educational Needs co-ordinator is Mrs Laura Dargie. Please contact Mrs Dargie via the school on 01926 853257 or dargie.l@welearn365.com
Mrs Dargie is in school on Mondays, Wednesdays and Thursdays.
Alternatively please contact Mrs Emma Slack (AHT and lead for Reception and Key Stage 1), or the Head teacher Mrs Amy Mitro via admin3146@welearn365.com
